Planned Parenthood of Illinois

Rep. Mike Quigley

Millions of Americans rely on Planned Parenthood for primary and preventive health care – including breast and cervical cancer screenings, birth control, STD testing and treatment and HIV testing. In Illinois, more than 60,000 patients visited 17 Planned Parenthood of Illinois health centers in 2010. Planned Parenthood provides basic health care to thousands of people in Illinois who otherwise might not see a doctor.

Yet, nationally and in Illinois, Planned Parenthood has been under attack by lawmakers working to remove funding for these preventive and basic health care services – many for persons in poverty – because Planned Parenthood also provides abortion services.

To help Planned Parenthood of Illinois build awareness of its mission and advance its health care advocacy on behalf of women and families, KSA provides strategic communications counsel, messaging and media relations assistance.
