American Theological Library Association
The American Theological Library Association (ATLA) needed to market a new, invaluable tool – ATLAS for ALUMS – that would transform how theologians and clergy throughout the world research their teaching and preaching. Additionally, ATLA wanted to offer this database and other services to help ATLA’s member librarians communicate the value and strength of theological libraries – especially during tough economic times.
KSA conducted focus groups and interviews with ATLA members and created a member marketing plan to generate use of and support for ATLAS for ALUMS. To assist theological librarians in advocating for their libraries with university decision-makers, we developed networking guides and key messages and offered strategic communications advice. Our work helped ATLA’s members engage with campus leadership, supported ATLA in signing new subscribers to ATLAS for ALUMS and promoted membership growth in ATLA.
