Tim works with KSA’s clients to develop and deliver compelling messages that will resonate with their key audiences and accomplish their communications goals. From strategic planning to targeted outreach, he provides counsel during each step of a successful communications campaign.
Tim helped the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® with media training, messaging and member communication as it underwent a merger to become the fourth-largest local REALTOR® association in the nation.
He also worked closely with the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance to help the organization better define itself though messaging, and elevator speech training so staff could communicate MEEA’s value across its 13-state territory.
An adept writer, Tim has penned many op-eds and letters to the editor on issues of the day for clients such as the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association (HACIA). In 2011 he won a Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago for his work on KSA’s 2010 Holiday Card.
Tim is also a skillful media specialist who has garnered extensive local and national coverage for KSA’s clients. He keeps Chicago’s nationally renowned East Bank Club in the health and fitness headlines with regular stories in outlets such as Men’s Fitness
magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times and WGN-TV.
Tim placed countless media stories, columns and letters to support the Illinois Chamber of Commerce’s charge to reform the state’s broken workers’ compensation system, and also helped the organization shore up support among members by producing engaging internal communications.
Before joining KSA, Tim worked in the marketing department at Baird & Warner, Illinois’ largest independent real estate brokerage, where his accomplishments included spearheading the company’s online video and social media efforts and coordinating a national award-winning community relations project.
Tim has also done communications work for Governor Quinn’s 2010 primary campaign, Friends of the Chicago River and the Celebrity Charity Chair Auction.
Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Iowa. He resides in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood and is an active member of the Field Museum.
